Abstract
In
French-speaking countries, many studies refer to practices declared by teachers
to the detriment of studies on actual teaching practices (Bressoux, 2000). The
aim of this study is to analyse and to establish a model of actual teaching
practices of future teachers. In order to do this, an analytical grid of
teachers' behaviours has been created on the basis of a theoretical model of
the teaching-learning situation (Derobertmasure & Dehon, 2012). The
observation grid has been adapted for an observation software (Observer XT®).
The video recordings of micro-teaching sessions are observed in order to
analyse teacher’s behaviours, students’ behaviours and their interactions. The
results indicate that future teachers do not encourage students’ participation
very much and reproduce the teaching model they have met during their studies
at university. So, it is necessary to plan training activities that require
them to have a critical look at teaching practices (e.g. analysis of other
teachers’ practices).
